Collateral Damage

A series of paintings forming a response to the consequences of war. In particular a protest at the injustices war brings to childhood. The children wear T shirts sporting aspirational slogans like ‘Rock Star’ ‘Girls can do anything’ surely to be denied to them and the toys tossed and broken metaphors for children under fire.

Environment

The 4 elements of this planet are under stress at the moment. The recent series Element Water represent figures in relation to water… I leave it open as to whether they are recreational or in some need of refuge against a peril.

I live by the sea and rivers and am privileged to enjoy summer days wrestling with the waves sometimes fairly polluted.
